Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Engagement Assistant (English Language Outreach Coordinator). The work schedule is Full-Time. Note: This is NOT a teaching position.

Class information: Senior High school, 2nd year Communication English (2 sections, totaling 8 hours)
Classes meet on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday mornings with one class Friday afternoon 

 

- participation in inter and intradepartmental projects,
- experience with diversity of student learner profiles (differentiated teaching),
- good knowledge of curriculum planning and development,
- experience with special educational/special needs learners.
 

Job responsibilities include teaching 15 hours per week per semester spread across 5 days. Courses are generally assigned a standardized curriculum with required textbooks.
