About the School
Imagine has been operating in the area for almost twenty years and most of our students have been studying with us for a long time. Lessons are almost entirely one-on-one, so teachers can tailor each lesson to the student’s needs.
What you’ll do:
・Teach mainly one-on-one English lessons to students from elementary school age to adults, at all levels from CEFR A1 to C2.
・Prepare and conduct bespoke lessons, using a mix of set textbooks, school materials, and your own resources and ideas. Teachers have preparation time for classes every day.
・Help students prepare for tests such as EIKEN, IELTS, and TOEIC as needed.
・Occasionally assist with school events such as seasonal group lessons, speech days, etc.
What you’ll need:
・Native-level proficiency in English. Some of our students are quite strong English communicators.
・Bachelor's degree or higher (any field).
・Minimum 1 year of teaching experience.
・Ability to teach learners from elementary school age to adults.
・Ability to use technology in the classroom for student communication and lesson materials.
・Currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa (we can assist with visa renewal).
Nice to haves:
・CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent teaching qualification.
・Experience preparing students for standardised tests such as EIKEN, IELTS, and TOEIC.
