Description
Kawaijuku is currently seeking experienced teachers for the new academic year for our new PBL-based high school, Dalton X Highschool, that will be launched in April 2027.
Dalton X’s concept is to nurture students through real-world experiences, staying in four cities for 2-3 months each in Grade 11 to be engaged in social-connected projects working with local professionals and citizens.
We offer A-Level and Minerva Baccalaureate program in addition to Japanese (MEXT) program to high school students in Grade 11 and 12. This position is competitive in terms of salary, benefits and conditions. We also have an existing sister school in Tokyo which is called Dalton Tokyo Junior and Senior High School.

Currently, we are seeking teachers particularly for the following positions:
Main Classroom Teacher Positions for Grade 11 and 12 in History, Geography, and Social Studies.
We focus on various aspects of the student’s development, such as leadership, resilience, entrepreneurship, social and emotional intelligence as well as academic achievements. It is a full school year position, with teachers being responsible for facilitating online classes in which the students are in the same classroom in person and the teachers access via online to the classroom. Teachers are also required to travel all over the place, if necessary, to help students to launch new projects and wrap up the final presentation and outputs of each project.
Applicants must have experience caring for and teaching young students. A qualification in similar experiences or a degree or graduate diploma in education is strongly preferred. For some positions, we offer an earlier starting date followed by some initial training.
● Full time teaching duties as a classroom teacher.

● Assistance with curriculum revision and development.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree
● Ability to apply curriculum principles in practice and to plan effective lessons.
● Ability and experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language.
● Applicants must hold a valid visa that permits full-time employment in Japan. We cannot accept candidates with a student visa or working holiday visa for this position.
We have established a successful curriculum and a strong support network for our teachers. Teachers with BA or BSc in Education will receive monthly qualification allowance.
