Position
Hoshi University is seeking two part-time English instructors starting in April 2027. Appointments are for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Teaching Responsibilities
Teach the following undergraduate English courses:
• Eigo Listening and Speaking (First semester: Mondays, Periods 1 and 2; 14 class sessions per semester)
• Eigo Presentation (Second semester: Mondays, Periods 1 and 2; 10 class sessions per semester)

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Hold a master's degree in TESOL or a related field (required). A teaching certificate is not accepted as a substitute for a master's degree.
2. Have at least two years of teaching experience at a university or college.
3. Have published at least three academic papers.
4. Demonstrate native-like English proficiency and the ability to teach courses in English.
Compensation
• ¥12,000 per 90-minute class session (koma).
• An additional ¥10,000 per course for preparing the final examination, calculating final grades, and submitting grades.
• The per-session compensation covers class preparation, grading assignments, communication with students and the Academic Affairs Department, and other duties necessary for the successful delivery of the course.
• Payment is made in the month following the month in which classes are taught. For example, compensation for October classes will be paid in November, together with reimbursement for transportation expenses.
