Part Time Spanish Teacher, Senri and Osaka International Schools of Kwansei Gakuin

SENRI & OSAKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS OF KWANSEI GAKUIN are seeking a part-time, high school, Spanish teacher to join our vibrant school community from April 2027.

We would like to hear from native level, qualified professionals with experience teaching at the high school level. Some Japanese ability is also preferred. Examples of teaching qualifications include: a teaching license or certificate from your home country, an advanced degree in Second Language Teaching or Education, etc.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Spanish language teacher who can teach the two-year IB DP Spanish ab initio (beginner level) language acquisition classes to Grade 11 & Grade 12 students in the OIS Diploma Programme, and also beginner, basic, and standard level language classes to high school students in SIS. (Basic level students are in their second year of studying the language, whilst Standard level students are in their third year.) Experience with IB DP lesson planning, teaching philosophy, and assessment models will be an advantage, however training is available to the successful candidate if needed. The ability to adapt content and teaching practices for different levels of ability is essential.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly rate and a commuting allowance which are also paid during holidays. The position is ideally suited to a local resident not in need of relocation, allowances or other benefits that come with a full-time position. The number of teaching hours will be confirmed prior to each term and is subject to change based on the needs of the curriculum. Typically, there will be between 12-14 hours per week per trimester. This is a year-long contract with the possibility of renewal based on the agreement of both parties.
