We are looking for Instructor(s) to teach a Video games, Media, and Culture in Japan course at a University in Shinjuku Tokyo for one to three 2-week sessions from May 18 - June 25, 2027.
This is a great opportunity to teach up to three sessions of Video Games, Media and Culture in Japan courses to international University students from the US and abroad at a University campus in Shinjuku Tokyo. Create and deliver in class lectures, presentations, discussions, field-trips, arrange possible guest speakers, and grade students based on in class presentations and other criteria. Course is taught in English.
Session One: May 18 - May 28
Session Two: June 1 - June 11
Session Three: June 15 - June 25
Course content is the same for each session
- Days and hours:
Each session follows the same schedule (total 45 hours each session)
(includes several short breaks between periods and a lunch break)
Tuesday: 9:30 - 14:50
Wednesday: 9:30 - 16:30 (includes an afternoon local field trip)
Thursday: 9:30 - 16:40
Friday: 9:30 - 12:20
Monday: 9:30 - 14:50
Tuesday: 9:30 - 16:40
Wednesday: 9:30 - 16:30 (includes an afternoon local field trip)
Thursday: 9:30 - 16:40
Friday: 9:30 - 16:40
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or higher for Lead Instructor position
- Relative experience teaching similar content courses preferred
- Experience teaching University students preferred
- Strong English proficiency preferred (course is taught in English)
Salary:
Any one Session: 330,000 JPY plus local transportation costs
Any two Sessions: 660,000 JPY plus local transportation costs
All Three Sessions: 990,000 JPY plus local transportation costs
