JSAF (Japan Study Abroad Foundation), an official IELTS test centre is looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Speaking Examiners in Kyoto venues. Preference will be given to those who can work on 1-2 weekdays and occasionally weekends.
IELTS examiners are responsible for assessing candidates' English language proficiency in the Speaking sections of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). They evaluate candidates based on standardized criteria, ensuring fair and accurate scoring across all test-takers. Test Takers range from secondary students to professionals including non-Japanese.
You will need:
An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree.
A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or recognised equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one year post-certificate level qualification). The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).

Successful applicants will be invited to New Examiner Training which will be held on the 11th and 12th Oct. We will be accepting the applications this time who are eligible to attend the those training.
Please note that this is not a full-time position. It is a part time paid by per work basis.
