Full-time Lecturer of English in the Institute for the Promotion of General Education

4. Job description
-In charge of 10 classes (90 minutes per class) per week for the university-wide basic subjects "English" (English IIIA/IIIB, English IVA/IVB, Practical English Seminar IA/IB, etc.)
-Development of teaching materials for the above subjects

5. Eligibility
-High level of English proficiency (Experience of studying or living in an English-speaking country is preferable. Native English speakers must be able to read university administrative documents and have enough Japanese language proficiency to discuss at meetings, etc.).
-Hold a master's degree or higher in the above specialized field.
-Those with at least two years of experience in English education at a Japanese university or high school or equivalent educational institution. However, they must have at least one year of teaching experience at a Japanese university (including part-time teaching).
-Candidates must be proactive and responsible in English education and enthusiastic about related educational research.
-Candidates must be willing to actively participate in university operations and be able to cooperate and contribute to student education.
-Candidates must be able to live in Shiga Prefecture or nearby areas after assuming their post.

-List of research achievements (books, papers, research presentations, teaching materials, etc.: any format)
-Up to three copies of major achievements (Single-authored papers are preferable, but for co-authored papers, the part for which the applicant was responsible must be specified) and a summary of each in English of about 300 words.
-A summary of your English teaching activities to date and your aspirations for English teaching after assuming your post, in English of about 1,000 words (any format).
-Copy of final degree certificate
-If you have taken an English proficiency test, a copy of the results, etc.
-Contact information for two references (name, affiliation, telephone number, and email address).
-A self-addressed, stamped return envelope (for returning application documents and papers, etc.)
