Instructors will use a course textbook and will supplement with their own unique activities and pedagogical approaches in a small class. Successful applicants for this position will have higher education degrees in English, TESOL, linguistics, or a related field., , TUJBP0403 – Writing Lab. 4 units, 6 teaching hours per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:15-14:15), , This course's goal is to learn about and write argumentatively in the American college academic essay form. Students will engage in the composing process of 3 essays, which involves planning, drafting, and revising. The writing in this course will require students to summarize and synthesize ideas from different sources in order to produce essays with a high degree of academic tone and style. Success in this course will be assessed by engagement with the drafting process and improvements in writing during the term. , , These positions are part-time for the semester, with the possibility to continue teaching in the future.
