J&N English Club is a small English Conversational School located in a tranquil area in the suburbs of Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka Prefecture.
We teach a wide variety of students, from kindergarten (3 y.o.) through Elementary School to Junior/Senior High School students and adults. We teach both group and private lessons in-house, at company offices, community centers and neighboring kindergartens.
We are looking for a motivated and friendly full-time native-level English teacher who likes to work with children, has excellent communication skills and will be an active and creative asset in our small team of 2 English teachers and 2 Japanese staff members. Position begins July 1st 2025.
Qualifications:
University degree (any discipline) as required by the Japanese government
Driver's license is MANDATORY
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
TESOL, TEFL or some ESL certificate preferred but not mandatory
Experience in teaching children and lesson planning preferred (training will also be provided)
Some Japanese proficiency preferred
Basic IT software knowledge preferred
Duties:
Teach, plan and develop resources for lessons
Actively cooperate in the development of our school's curriculum
Attend occasional school events

1 year renewable contract
40 hours, 20~25 lessons per week (Mon~Fri)
250,000 yen monthly (230,000 yen for the first month)
Over 5 weeks holidays per year
Apartment with 25,000 yen rent per month
