Eisugakkan Elementary School is searching for a dedicated and motivated IB PYP full-time Homeroom Teacher to begin work from April, 2025.

The role will involve but not be limited to teaching subjects including: English, Math, Social Studies, Science (Units of Inquiry) and Art to grades 1-6.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Immersion PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English, Math, Science, Social Studies (Units of Inquiry), Art and club activities in addition to creating a positive and engaging classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The English Immersion PYP Homeroom Teacher will play a crucial role in implementing the PYP curriculum, promoting language immersion, and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities: Implementing PYP Curriculum: Plan and deliver inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework. Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate transdisciplinary themes into the curriculum.

English Language Immersion: Foster English language development through immersive teaching techniques. Integrate language-rich activities and resources to enhance language acquisition. Support students in developing strong communication skills in English.

Homeroom Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for students and parents in the homeroom. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect and cooperation. Monitor and support the social and emotional well-being of students.

Assessment and Reporting: Use a variety of formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate student progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. Contribute to the preparation of student progress reports.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification and/or qualification for primary education. Teaching experience at Elementary School Experience with the IB PYP framework is highly desirable. Native English-level proficiency, with the ability to create an immersive language environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
