We are pleased to announce a new opening in our English language department for one native English-speaking teacher (no restrictions on nationality) starting from April 2025 to March 2026
with the possibility to renew for a new annual contract up to 3 times based on annual performance.
Main Job Duties:
This a full-time team-teaching position based at our Matsudo City junior/senior high school campus for teaching English Oral Communications classes and supporting the overall scope of the school's activities. Your main responsibilities will be teaching about 16 to 18 lessons per week, working with a team to plan, teaching the curriculum, and assessing students’ performance. A willingness to teach short kindergarten classes when needed is a must (shared position with other teachers).
Contract Terms and Compensation:
1) From April 2025 to March 2026
2) Position: junior/ senior high school native English-speaking language teacher (you may be asked to teach in our kindergarten a few hours a week).
3) Hours: 08:00-16:00 (Monday to Friday) for junior high school, 08:30-16:30 for senior high school with some Saturdays.
4) Gross Salary: Yen 280,000 per month.
5) Generous paid holidays.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
1) At least 2 years of teaching experience at junior/ senior high school level in Japan.
2) Bachelor's degree or higher; a TESOL degree/teaching certification is preferred.
3) Evidence of an ongoing commitment to professional development.
4) Computer proficiency: Word and Excel needed for lesson planning and record keeping.
5) Ethical, honest and compassionate. Must enjoy working with adolescents.
6) Professional, interpersonal and cultural skills to establish early and lasting trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization.
