English instructor position with university focus

FULL-TIME ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR, NAGOYA - UNIVERSITY FOCUS

BEAT Inc. is currently accepting applications for a full-time dispatch / on-site English instructor position at one of our largest university clients located in Nagoya.

BEAT, Inc. English school and office is located near Kanayama Station, Nagoya. We are eager to work with motivated individuals who would like to advance their career with us and thrive in a lively academic environment.

POSITION DETAILS:
- Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 6 pm - Initial contract for one year, however, we are seeking candidates who wish to stay with us longer.
- Contract term: April 1, 2025 (non-negotiable) – March 31, 2026
Paid training / orientation sessions offered in March 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Native English-Level Proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any field
- Applicant must a valid working visa with at least one year remaining at time of hire, however our company will support visa renewals after hire. Applicants currently holding either “Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services” or “Permanent Resident” visas will be given priority. At this time, we can only accept applicants living in Japan. (Applicants residing in Aichi will be given priority, Mie and Gifu prefecture residents also considered.
- High motivation and passion to teach English to university undergraduate students
- Creativity and ability to teach spontaneously
- Experience with lesson and curriculum planning
- Experience teaching in a university classroom setting is highly desired but not required
- Ability to teach beginner to advanced-level students
- Can adapt to working at more than one location and is comfortable with dispatch / on-site teaching
- Knowledge of IELTS test a plus
- Any ESL certifications are a plus COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
- Annual salary 270,000 – 300,000 yen / month (consummate to experience)
- Enrollment in national health insurance, monthly transportation allowance, paid vacation (after six-month probationary period
- Visa renewal assistance after the first year in cases of applicants holding a valid one-year visa
- Annual bonus potential after first year

2. Proof of legal residence status in Japan (copy of Residence card and passport)
3. Copy of proof of graduation from an accredited university

If available:
1. Copy of any classroom material or syllabus / curriculum you have created, if available
2. Copy of certificate showing completion of ESL training programs, if applicable (Any documents provided by applicants will not be returned after the selection process, but will be kept confidential)
