Part-time English Instructor, Hoshi University

Position:
Hoshi University is seeking three part-time English teachers to begin in April 2025. Contracts are for one year and may be renewed up to three times.

Job Details:
• Teach undergraduate English courses:
o Eigo Listening and Speaking (First semester: Monday, 1st and 2nd periods)
o Eigo Presentation (Second semester: Monday, 1st and 2nd periods)
(1st period: 9:00-10:30, 2nd period: 10:45-12:15)

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Hold a Master’s degree in TESOL (preferred) or a related field.
2. Have at least two years of teaching experience at a university or college.
3. Have published at least three academic papers.
4. Possess nativelike English proficiency and the ability to teach in English.

Salary and Benefits:
• 11,000 yen per 90-minute koma.
• An additional 10,000 yen per course for creating the final exam, calculating grades and submitting them.
• Compensation includes class preparation, assignment grading, communication with students and the Academic Affairs Department, and any tasks required to ensure the successful completion of the course.
