We are seeking dedicated and adaptable substitute teachers to join our team and support Preschool, Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary schools in Tokyo. This is a registration-based role where successful candidates will be contacted and offered assignments as needed.
As a substitute teacher, you will step in during the absence of regular teachers to ensure continuity in students' education. Your primary duties will include delivering lessons based on provided plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting student learning. Assignments will vary across different education levels (Preschool, Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary), requiring adaptability and a strong understanding of age-appropriate teaching practices.
In this role, you may be asked to:
Follow detailed lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
Create short lesson activities when plans are unavailable or incomplete.
Monitor and guide students as they complete tasks or assignments.
Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
Collaborate with teaching assistants (if available) to manage larger classes.
Supervise break times or extracurricular activities as requested.
Ensure the classroom is tidy and organized at the end of the day.
Submit brief feedback or reports to the school on student progress or incidents during your assignment.

Requirements:
A degree in Education or a related field (teaching certifications preferred).
Previous teaching experience or relevant experience in working with children or adolescents.
Flexibility and reliability to accommodate short-notice assignments.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Enthusiasm for contributing to a vibrant and dynamic school community.

Assignments may vary in duration, ranging from one day to several weeks.
Compensation will be provided on a per-assignment basis.
