We are a private elementary school located in Tokyo. We are looking for an instructor with experience teaching English as a second language to children ages 6 ~12. We need someone who is fun, flexible and enjoys working with children.
Ability to communicate in Japanese is preferred.

Date of appointment: April 2025

Working hours: Monday ~ Friday (8:10 ~ 4:10)
Responsibilities: Making lesson plans and teaching materials for teaching English as a second language to children ages 6~12 as well as participating in and assisting with various school events and activities.
Please note: This is a Catholic school and thus, Catholicism is an important part of the curriculum. However, employees are not required to be a member of the Catholic church to work here.
Compensation: Salary will be calculated based on applicants experience and prefectural standards
Vacation times: Weekends (occasional work on Saturdays), national holidays, year’s end, summer break, spring break
Insurance: Private School Mutual Aid
Other qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, ability to communicate with coworkers in Japanese preferred, must have experience teaching English as a second language to children. Also, you must have a valid visa to work in Japan.

Selection process:
(1st Stage) Documents will be reviewed by our staff and successful applicants will be notified in writing on or after October 4th, 2024.
(2nd Stage) Interview and 5-minute mock class. (15 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to present)
Other: The individual who passes the second screening will be awarded a yearly contract with the possibility of renewal at the end of each year.
