English Teacher - Conversation School - Matsuyama (2/1)

Full-time English teacher needed for small conversation school

Job details: 

Crossroads Language Studio in Matsuyama-shi, Ehime-ken is seeking a full-time English teacher with native-level English proficiency to begin working in late March/early April.

Crossroads has been in operation for over thirty years, utilizing a student-focused program with an emphasis on role-playing and conversation activities. The vast majority of the students are adults, with a small number of high school students preparing for English exams. A few classes are also taught off-site for local businesses.

In addition to teaching duties, you will also be expected to contribute a short article in English to the school newsletter every other month and to assist with posting content to the school's Facebook page.

This is a full-time position with a consistent weekly schedule and two consecutive days off a week. The position pays ¥250,000 a month. Visa support and furnished apartment will be provided. Prefer applicants who currently reside in Japan.

Duties:

1) QUALIFICATIONS:
- University graduate with a bachelor's and/or more advanced degree, plus one of the following:
a) experience teaching EFL/ESL in a classroom environment, along with a teaching certificate (TEFL/TESL/TESOL) and/or teaching credentials or qualifications (elementary/primary/secondary)
b) 1000+ hours of EFL/ESL classroom teaching experience in lieu of teaching certificates, credentials or qualifications

2) CONTRACT PERIOD:

Part time English teacher. Teacher will be team-teaching at an elementary school in Matsudo, Chiba. 5 days a week. 

Job details: 

Teacher will be required to teach elementary school children (Gr. 1~6), 5 days a week (45 minute lessons). (There will be special days when teacher will be required to join school events on weekends.) Working hours are from 8:30am ~ 12:30pm (may vary). English as a Foreign Language Instructor, Berkeley House Language Center (3/1)

Job details: 

Berkeley House Language Center, a leading language school in Japan, is seeking English as a Foreign Language instructors for various teaching positions in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and other cities in Japan, for positions at corporations, universities, and/or at our schools.

SCHEDULE:
Teachers work five days a week, with 25 teaching hours per week, and two consecutive days off. In addition to teaching, instructors write reports, participate in meetings, and so forth.

STUDENTS/CLASSES:
Our students include corporate office workers, professionals, and fulltime students preparing for or attending university. Schedules will typically include a combination of one-to-one, semi-private, and group lessons.

REMUNERATION:
Remuneration depends on the applicant’s qualifications, but begins at 270,000 yen/month with transportation expenses in Japan being reimbursed. Successful applicants pay their own airfare to Japan, but typically, a year-end bonus is paid. These are one-year contract positions, usually renewable.

ACCOMMODATION:
Berkeley House will assist our new teacher’s settlement in Japan by providing an apartment. Teachers are required to pay their own rent and utilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will
• Be a dedicated team worker.
• Be in possession of a four-year degree from an accredited university plus a TESOL, TESL, and/or teaching certificate.
• Have at least two years’ experience teaching non-native speakers of English.
• Japanese language skills are not required, but a plus.

TRAINING:
