Peace Boat's language training program, G.E.T. is now accepting volunteer applications for it's 119th Global Voyage!
This is a full-time 3.5 month Volunteer experience for English & Español-level proficiency Language Teaching professionals aboard a humanitarian cruiseship. Applications for English and Spanish language teachers for the 119th Global Voyage (leaving Yokohama, Japan December 10, 2024 through March 15, 2025) will be open until August 16, 2024 close of business 18:00 JST. Interviews will be conducted online from August 26th-30th JST and successful individuals will be notified on September 6th by close of business 18:00 JST. This appointment requires at least 18 consecutive months of full-time language teaching experience, along with necessary visas to cover all 19+ ports of call worldwide. Full room and board is included, along with visa fee reimbursement.
Teachers can plan on teaching at least 6+ private students while at sea daily along with holding larger group language classes a few times a week and other fun events along the way. In addition, teachers may host their own events and assist in guiding passengers to and from conferences onboard or package tours upon debarkation. Teachers as volunteer passengers can partake in all facilities onboard including but not limited to the gym, sauna and other passenger friendly and recreational facilities.
