5. Qualifications
1. Doctorate or Master’s degree in the designated areas (including those who expect to complete the degree in March, 2026).
2. Having strong interests in pre-service teacher education and in teaching cross-cultural understanding, English communication, and cultures in English speaking countries/regions. Prepared and willing to undertake, in addition to teaching designated subjects, administrative duties at the College of Education including management, international exchange and cooperation, admissions work, student affairs, and student recruitment.
3. Willing to undertake their own research in the areas designated above.
4. Having native English speaking proficiency, or equivalent, of any nationality, with native or near-native fluency in both spoken and written Japanese to undertake administrative duties at Ibaraki University.
5. Does not fall under the conditions for disqualification in the University Employment Regulations article (4-2).
