Our bimonthly publication, The Language Teacher, hosts a column, the Job Information Centre, offering JALT members application details for jobs in Japan and abroad.
To list a position on this website and in the print edition of The Language Teacher, please email the job posting to The Job Information Centre Editor (see any issue of TLT or use the contact page.
The notice should contain the following information:
- prefecture and city
- name of institution
- title of position
- whether it is full- or part-time
- qualifications
- duties
- salary and benefits
- application materials
- deadline
- contact information
To list a position in the print edition of The Language Teacher, job postings must be received before the 15th of the month, six weeks before publication. There is no deadline for website job postings, which will be posted within a week of being received.
All job postings to the Job Information Centre website and column are free of charge.
The editors oppose discriminatory language, policies, and employment practices, in accordance with Japanese and international law. Exclusions or requirements concerning gender, age, race, religion, or country of origin should be avoided in announcements in the JIC Positions column, unless there are legal requirements or other compelling reasons for such discrimination, and these reasons are clearly explained in the job announcement. The editors reserve the right to edit ads for clarity, and to return ads for rewriting if they do not comply with this policy.
