Fixed-term Full-Time English Lecturer Position (Including Rits Kids Program Responsibilities), Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and Senior High School, Uji, Kyoto

Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and Senior High School invites applications for Fixed-term full-time teaching positions in the Foreign Languages (English) Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to teach English classes as part of the regular junior and senior high school curriculum on weekdays. In addition, successful candidates will be expected to support the school's English-language program for elementary school students (Rits Kids Program).
＊Rits Kids is an English program for elementary school students operated by Ritsumeikan Uji.

Requirements
Required:
- Speaks English as a first language or demonstrates equivalent ability.
- Holds a valid Japanese visa.
- Has completed undergraduate studies (in linguistics, language education, or literature) and has relevant academic and/or professional experience by the end of March 31, 2026.
- Be available to work on designated Sundays (approximately 30 Sundays per year, with statutory holidays provided on weekdays) and be capable of supporting the school's English-language program for elementary school students.

Preferred:
- Applicant holds qualification(s) in teaching English (such as TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, DELTA) by the end of March 31, 2026.
- Applicant holds teaching certification from their home country.
- Applicant has experience or qualifications in teaching other subject areas. (e.g., English Literature, academic writing, social studies, Theory of Knowledge, art, mathematics and science).
- Conversational Japanese ability is preferred. Ability to communicate with colleagues in Japanese is an asset.
