Join a growing International Course at a private secondary school in central Tokyo, combining Japanese and Cambridge International education. Our planned senior high school launch in April 2027 offers an opportunity to help shape the programme.
Duties
• Teach English as a Second Language and Global Perspectives and Research across junior and senior high school, including Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level.
• Develop students’ English, critical thinking, research and communication skills.
• Contribute to curriculum and co-curricular development, monitor student progress and well-being, and participate in professional development.
Qualifications
Applicants must have CEFR C2 English proficiency, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and an EFL/TESOL background with CELTA, DELTA, MA TESOL or equivalent. Experience in Japanese secondary education and curriculum development is required, alongside strong teamwork, initiative and commitment to students. Applicants must currently reside in Japan with a valid work permit and a long-term commitment to Japan.
Cambridge, CLIL or international education experience, a relevant master’s degree, business-level Japanese and a Tokyo teaching licence are advantageous.
Salary and benefits
¥320,000–¥350,000 monthly base salary, plus allowances, commuting expenses and shakai hoken. Training and project-team support are provided. Visa renewal support is available; no new visa sponsorship. Permanent Resident status preferred.
