We are currently looking for an English teacher to cover pre-intermediate speaking classes and intermediate writing to high school students, two days a week in Osaka.

About the School
Kansai International High School is part of Kansai College of Business and Languages (関西外語専門学校) and is attended by students aged 15 to 18. Founded in 1989, it is an independent, specialized high school located near Tennoji Station in Osaka. Officially recognized as a specialized training high school course, it blends traits of a traditional Japanese high school with a Western international style curriculum, offering an advanced level of English education with an international perspective.

Job Details
The successful applicant will nine teach 45-minute English classes to approximately 12 to 18 students, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The classes are both Speaking & Listening and Reading & Writing with students grouped by level from CEFR A2 to C1. In class assessments are required in accordance with the school guidelines. R&W teachers must create and mark their own exams, and Teacher’s Reports are required after each exam week.
There are two terms per academic year. Each term has a Mid-Term and End-Term exam. The current position begins after the Term Two Mid-Term exam week in November. There will be approximately 20 classes before the End-Term exam in February.
Renumeration begins at 3,000yen per 45-minute 'koma', which includes preparation and assessments.

Qualifications/Conditions
Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably taught in English (any subject). Due to the subjects being taught, CEFR C1 or above English proficiency is required. A CELTA or equivalent and experience teaching English at the high school level is preferred. Some ability to use Excel, Word and Google Classroom is useful.
Candidates must reside in Japan (preferably in Kansai) with a valid working visa (visa sponsorship is not available).

Working Hours
Tuesday 09:10 to 14:20 (five 45-minute classes with lunch from 12:40 to 13:35)
Thursday 09:10 to 12:40 (four 45-minute classes)
