speek (https://speek.jp/) is an online English pronunciation school headquartered in Tokyo. Our teaching is grounded in phonetics, and most of our students are advanced adult learners who already speak English well and want to refine their pronunciation to a higher level.
Duties
- Teaching online English pronunciation lessons to advanced adult learners
Qualifications (required)
- Native English-level proficiency, with pronunciation of native-level quality in North American English
- Currently living in Tokyo
- Currently majoring in, or holding a degree in, linguistics at the university level (A TESOL certificate is not a linguistics degree.)
- At least one year of teaching experience
Qualifications (preferred)
- Background in phonetics
- Japanese language ability
- Digital skills to streamline work processes
Salary
Approx. 3,000 yen/hour (depending on experience)
