We are happy to announce that there is a position available at a private junior and high school in Itabashi now. The school is looking for a teacher who can start working from September this year. I believe this position will provide you both great experience as a professional teacher while working as a team and satisfaction by supporting students improve their language skills.
Job details:
- 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, an hour lunch break is given between 12:00-13:00.
There are some days scheduled as workdays due to school events, compensation day offs will be given in such cases.
- Teaching about 18 classes a week. (maximum of 20 classes)
- Curriculum development and Lesson Planning. For this school year, they have already made the curriculum, so you don’t have to develop from scratch.
Salary: 270,000-290,000 (Depends on experience and skills.)
Contract period: 2026/09/01-2027/03/31
(This is a renewable contract as long as both sides agree. It is usually an annual contract from April to the next year March.)
Other responsibilities
- Delivering quality instruction to students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Teaching under the supervision of faculty staff.
- Test Creation and Student Assessment
- Adapting to the online administration systems.
- Student Safeguarding.
- Developing Instructional Materials.
- Attending open days, school ceremonies, school excursions and meetings.
- Taking on individual responsibilities related to lesson preparation, curriculum development and school events.
- Communicating with members of staff, students and parents.
- Supervising extra curricular clubs and activities.
- Following school values.
- Cambridge, EIKEN, TOEFL, and IELTS test preparation.
- Collaborating with the school's PR department on school promotional activities.
Requirements:
- Native-level English proficiency
- Must currently reside in Japan
- A valid working visa (We can assist you to get a visa if necessary.)
- Must possess a university degree.
- Have at least two consecutive years teaching experience in the same Junior and/or Senior school.
- Experience in collaborative planning and working in a multicultural environment
- Knowledge of the Japanese School system.
- Basic to intermediate level of Japanese language.
- Two professional references available for contact.
