Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be appointed as full-time faculty members in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and will be expected to:
•Teach undergraduate courses and participate in Faculty Development (FD) activities.
•Provide academic advising and student support.
•Conduct research and scholarly activities.
•Participate in university and institutional events.
•Engage in community outreach and regional collaboration, including partnerships among universities, high schools, and industry.
•Contribute to university administration through committee service and Staff Development (SD) activities.
Each faculty member will be provided with a private office and an annual research budget.

Salary
Approximate monthly base salary:
•Associate Professor: JPY 450,000
•Lecturer: JPY 350,000
•Assistant Professor: JPY 300,000
Bonuses are provided separately in accordance with the regulations of the Urayama Educational Corporation.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Holidays:

Qualifications
Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:
1.Demonstrate an understanding of the URAYAMA PHILOSOPHY (founding principles, educational philosophy, educational ideals, and code of conduct) and the University’s educational goals, and be committed to student-centered education with an emphasis on enhancing student satisfaction.
2.Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree.
3.Alternatively, possess research achievements recognized as equivalent to the above qualifications.
4.Have teaching experience at a university or professional university.
5.Possess an appropriate record of research relevant to the courses to be taught.
6.Support the University’s educational philosophy of integrating teaching with collaboration among local communities, businesses, and industry to address regional and corporate challenges and contribute to regional revitalization.

Primary Teaching Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to teach some of the following undergraduate courses, depending on their area of expertise and the University’s curricular needs:
•Information Technology Literacy
•Information Security
•Business Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
•Digital Business
Each course consists of 15 ninety-minute class meetings per semester and may be offered in either lecture or seminar format.

Language Requirements
Applicants must be able to teach courses in English.
The ability to teach in Japanese is highly desirable.
Japanese proficiency equivalent to CEFR B2 or higher is preferred.
Faculty meetings and internal administrative documents are conducted primarily in Japanese.

Additional Requirement
The successful candidate must receive a positive evaluation in both academic rank and subject qualifications through the faculty qualification review conducted by the MEXT Council for University Establishment and School Corporation.
