Osaka International High School in Moriguchi City, Osaka is seeking a part-time IB chemistry educator (maternity cover) to teacher high school grade 1 and grade 2 students (Pre-IB [high school grade 1] 2 hours a week, DP1 [high school grade 2] 6 hours a week)
Level: Experienced (IB experience preferred)
Position type: part-time (contract)
Education level: 4-year degree (minimum)
Requirements: Native level English fluency, University degree, Ability to get a Japanese visa, Ability to get permission to teach at a Japanese school
Salary Range: 13,000 yen/ per unit/ per month(Depending on experience and qualifications.)
Work Hours: 2 or 3 days a week, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities: Teaching chemistry to high school grade 1 and 2 students (grade 10 to 11)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field (minimum requirement)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary education
- Experience teaching IB DP Chemistry is favorable
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory techniques
- Ability to design lesson plans that promote inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Proficiency in English
