Part-Time English Teaching Position – Osaka (Sekime-Takadono)

We are a growing, family-owned eikaiwa school located in Sekime-Takadono, Osaka, just a 4-minute walk from the nearest station. We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, collaborative team environment and providing teachers with the resources they need to deliver effective and engaging lessons.

We are currently seeking an experienced part-time English teacher to join our team.

Position Details:

Schedule: Friday evenings (16:30–18:30) and Saturday mornings (9:30–11:30)
Additional classes may become available as student enrollment increases
Classes: Children and adults, both group and private lessons
Class size: Maximum of 7 students for children’s group classes
Curriculum: Structured curriculum provided for children’s classes

Duties:

Ensure students are safely received and dismissed before and after lessons
Plan lessons in advance and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction
Teach both regular and occasional trial lessons, with parent observation when applicable

Compensation:

Starting rate: ¥2,500 per hour
Transportation reimbursed up to ¥1,000 per day
Preference will be given to candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance

Requirements:

Prior English teaching experience
Ability to effectively engage and manage young learners
Professional, reliable, and flexible
Willingness to occasionally substitute for other teachers
Valid visa permitting work in Japan
Japanese language ability is a strong advantage
