Eisugakkan is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated educator to teach science to junior high school students and IBDP chemistry to senior high school students .

Job details: 

The ideal candidate must be passionate about teaching and committed to fostering student learning and growth. This position will begin in April 2026, and preference will be given to applicants who are already residing in Japan.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
-Teach science classes at the junior high school level.
-Teach IBDP Chemistry to year 10-12 students
-Participate in and help prepare for after-school clubs, activities, staff meetings, and school events as required.
-Engage in professional development and training opportunities as assigned.
-Assess, record, and report on students’ progress.
-Serve as a homeroom teacher and provide academic and pastoral support to students.

Qualifications and Requirements
The successful applicant should:
-Hold a B.A. in Science Education, B.S. in Chemistry, or other relevant degree.
-Have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in science or chemistry at the junior or senior high school level.
-Ideally have experience teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) students.
-Possess a valid teaching license or teaching qualification from their home country.
-Be highly proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Teaching/class hours/week: Up to 20 lessons per week.
Hours and days: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm plus a few Saturdays or Sundays within the school year may be required for school events, event preparation, club activities, or training.

Travel Allowance
a) Up to 100,000 yen will be paid to the employee relocating within Japan.
b) Up to 200,000 yen will be paid for travel-related expenses to the employee relocating from overseas.
