Position on offer: 5-day Full-Time Senior High School ALT with native level English proficiency required in Kanagawa to work in a private high school - annual dispatch. Renewable contract. Start in April 2026.
Work schedule: 5 workdays between Monday and Friday (flexible) from 08:30 to 15:30.
Job Details: *Mainly: lesson preparation and team-teaching ESL classes for small groups of senior high school students. There may be a requirement to teach Eiken test preparation classes after regular classes have finished for the day on 2 afternoons in the week, but not on a regular basis. These classes, if required by the school, will be taught for a short period of time (about 1 month) before each test – there are 3 times in the year when Eiken tests can be taken.
Pay (before withholding tax): 280,000 ~ 320,000 yen per month depending on experience and teaching credentials.
Train fees from home to the workplace: Reimbursed in addition to salary.
Visa sponsorship: Available.
Annual workplace paid holiday: Generous summer, winter and spring paid holiday.
CANDIDATES should meet the following minimum REQUIREMENTS
①Be able to start the position in April 2026. Please provide your earliest start date.
②Have native English-level proficiency.
③Have a Bachelor’s degree.
➃Have a teaching certificate (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) or be in the process of obtaining one.
⑤Have experience teaching in Japan, preferably at Japanese schools.
⑥Currently reside in Japan and possess a valid work visa.
