3. Teaching Responsibilities: [undergraduate] Freshman Seminar, English CommunicationⅡ, WritingⅡ, Cross-cultural LectureⅠ,

4. Qualifications: Applicants should
(1) have majored in one of the following fields, or a related fields – Linguistic, English Linguistics, Applied
Linguistics, English Language Education, Anglophone Literature, or Cultural Studies – and hold a doctoral or master’s degree. Nevertheless, individuals with substantial professional expertise and demonstrated achievement in the relevant field, commensurate with these qualifications, are encouraged to apply.
(2) have native-level proficiency in English.
(3) have proficiency in Japanese sufficient to perform their duties if the applicant is not a native speaker of Japanese.

5. Educational / Research activities: Applicants are required, in principle, to hold a Ph.D. by the scheduled hiring date or to
have at least three years of educational and research experience in the relevant field after
obtaining a Master’s degree.

(2) The appointment is for a three-year term.
(3) It is preferable that the candidate has teaching experience (such as in elementary, middle, or high schools).
(4) The candidate is expected to be enthusiastic about engaging in teaching and research utilizing ICT and
online platforms.
(5) An interview will be conducted as part of selection process. If the interview is conducted in person, the
candidate will be responsible for the travel expenses.
(6) The candidate must be willing to reside in or near Kariya city after being hired.
