Tokyo College of Airline, Railway, Hotel, and Theme Park is seeking a part-time communicative English teacher to lead conversation classes in activities to develope students' speaking skills.

Job Description
You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and facilitating lessons based on the goals and objectives for the following courses.

Class: Conversational English
Class Length: 90 minutes each
Number of Students: 15-20
Goal: The first semester of this class is to prepare students for life-long learning and practice of English. They will be introduced to the tools and techniques they can use to aid them in understanding and communicating in English. They will also practice common language for introductions, participating in the classroom, setting goals, and reflecting on their progress.
Class Periods: April 15th-July 29th*, 2 classes per week on Wednesdays (14:05-17:20)
*There will be a 4-week period in the semester where students will participate in domestic study abroad. During this time, you will not have classes.
Total Classes: 20 (2 classes each week x 10 weeks)**
**Subject to change depending on school events.

Responsibilities:
Attending teachers meeting before the start of the semester. It will be held in one afternoon between March 24th and April 3rd.
Taking and keeping attendance for each class.
Teaching and reviewing new materials.
Guiding students through communicative activities.
Maintaining classroom discipline.
Ensuring students adhere to school policies.
Administering and grading provided assessments and activities.
Submitting grades and providing feedback to students.

Renumeration:
8800 yen per 90-minute lesson.
5500 yen for the teachers meeting. (one time only)
These include transportation and consumption tax.

Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivilant.
Native-level English communication ability.
2 years experience teaching communicative English as a second/foreign language.
2 years experience teaching in secondary or tertiary classrooms of 15 students or more.

Preferred:
Master's Degree or Doctorate in related field (Applied Linguistics, Second Language Education, TESOL, etc.).
Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Certification in teaching English as a second/foreign language (CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, etc.)

Successful applicants will be invited to an on-line interview to discuss the position and their experience. Upon passing, applicants will be invited for an in-person interview and trial lesson with provided materials.
