About EON Kids Academy

EON Kids Academy is a bilingual, inquiry-based After School Program for grade 1-6 students, launching on April 6, 2026, in Tokyo. We go beyond traditional academics by fostering creativity, communication, leadership, and life skills through immersive, project-based learning in a supportive environment. This is a hands-on role in a small founding startup team. Employment Type:
- Part-time
- Fixed weekly schedule (not casual / not on-call)
- Entry-level teaching position
- 3-month probationary period

Setagaya-ku, Tokyo

8–10 minutes on foot from Komazawa-Daigaku Station

Start Date:

March 2026 (starting soon / immediate start preferred)

Work Schedule:

Workdays: Weekdays only
Closed: Weekends and all Japanese national holidays

During school terms:

13:00–19:45 (includes a 45-minute unpaid break)

During school vacations (shift-based):

08:00–14:45, or

13:00–19:45
(includes a 45-minute unpaid break)

Weekly hours:

5 days per week

30 working hours per week (plus unpaid break time)

Students:
Children aged 6–12

Position Overview:

This is an entry-level teaching role within our English After School Program. Full training is provided. Instructors work under the guidance of the Curriculum Creator and Head Instructor and the Academic Team.

This is an active, hands-on role involving daily student supervision, engagement, and interaction in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead and support English-based activities, including language learning, STEAM projects, and life skills
- Supervise students during snack and meal times
- Create a positive, high-energy learning environment while ensuring student safety and following academy policies
- Collaborate with the academic team on attendance tracking and simple student progress updates

Qualifications / Requirements:
- English fluency at a daily conversational level or higher (able to lead activities with children)
- Enjoy working with children aged 6–12 and creating a safe, engaging learning environment
- Valid working visa for Japan

Preferred (not required):
- Experience in teaching or childcare (training provided)
- Japanese language ability

Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage: from ¥1,650
- Monthly pay: up to ¥240,000 (depending on hours worked)
- Transportation expenses reimbursed
