We are seeking passionate and forward-thinking teachers to join our growing International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). This position is ideal for educators who are excited about inquiry-based learning, bilingual education, and helping students develop as global citizens.

Position Overview

Employment Type: Full-time (commencing April 2026)
School Level: Junior High School (Grades 7–9)
Programme: IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
Language Environment: English & Japanese (bilingual setting)

Key Responsibilities

・Teach MYP-aligned lessons in your subject area
・Teach MYP-aligned Second Language Acquisition (English) classes
・Plan and deliver inquiry-based, concept-driven units
・Assess students using MYP criteria and provide meaningful feedback
・Collaborate with Japanese and international teachers in a team-teaching environment
・Support bilingual learning and scaffold language for EAL students
・Participate in curriculum development and school-wide projects
・Contribute to school events, international programs, and student activities
・Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

・Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject
・Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience)
・Strong communication skills in English
・Passion for student-centered, inquiry-based learning

Preferred:

・Experience teaching Math, Science, or Social Studies
・Familiarity with the IB MYP (or PYP/DP)
・Experience working in an international or bilingual environment
・Willingness to learn and grow within the IB framework
