Part-Time English Instructor, Tokyo College of Music, Ikebukuro Campus

Courses to be taught:
◆English Communication 1 and 2 (university-wide undergraduate courses)
・ Two classes per week on Wednesdays (8:30–10:00, 10:10–11:40)
・ 15 classes per semester (30 classes per year)
・ Focus on spoken English communication for music students
・ Standardised syllabus and textbook used
・ Google Classroom used for course management
◆Academic Writing A and B (Music Liberal Arts major)
・ One class per week (day and time to be decided)
・ 15 classes per semester (30 classes per year)
・ Classes taught mainly in English
・ Teaching schedule to be discussed after appointment

Remuneration:
From JPY 5,100 per 90-minute class
*Final amount determined after appointment based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with university regulations

Qualifications:
・Ability to teach both English Communication and Academic Writing
・Master’s degree or higher
・High-level English proficiency
・Strong interest in effective English teaching for music students (experience with ESP and/or CLIL approaches preferred)
・Basic Japanese language ability preferred

・ A model syllabus covering 30 classes (Spring and Fall semesters), from basic paragraph writing to essay writing
