The English phonemes /f/ and /h/ are discussed together here because
they are often confused by our students. What follows will assume a basic
understanding of the use of minimal pairs (fit/hit) in the teaching of pronunciation
and auditory discrimination and will rather look at the underlying
causes of the problem and suggest a few new ways to solve them.
