Kobe Seijoh High School is now hiring an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT). This position will start from April 2026. We are looking for a candidate who has native-level English proficiency and is looking for long term employment.
The successful candidate will:
・Teach communicative English lessons alongside Japanese teachers
・Will help organize and lead activities for “English Speaking Society”, which is our school’s English club.
・Prepare students for an annual speech contest.
・Prepare students for English language proficiency tests.
・Assist with curriculum development, and materials creation.
・Support the planning and preparation of an annual homestay program.
・Support our school’s events as needed which includes occasional business trips.
・Provide a positive and motivating learning environment for students.
Working Conditions
・Salary: ¥310,000～ per month, depending on experience
・Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30-18:00, occasional school events on weekends.
・Working Hours: During summer, winter, and spring vacations, 8:30-14:00.
・Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, All national holidays + school breaks
・Contract: One-year, renewable based on performance
・Transportation: Fully reimbursed (Up to ¥30,000)

Minimum Requirements
・Bachelor’s degree (in any field)
・Native-level English proficiency
・Strong communication and teamwork skills
・Currently residing in the Kansai area or able to relocate
・Basic Japanese ability
・Experience teaching English as a foreign language.
Preferred Qualifications
・Teaching certificates (CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, etc.)
・Experience in Japanese schools (ALT/JTE collaboration)
・N2 Level Japanese
・Experience teaching teenagers
