Nagisa Koen Elementary School is a private elementary school in Hiroshima. As English language teachers, we encourage Nagisa Koen students to use English as a global language by focusing on their communication and literacy skills.

All candidates must:
-have a high English proficiency
-have a minimum of two years of English language teaching experience
-be comfortable in a Japanese work environment and be willing to take on extra-curricular duties
-currently reside in Japan
-must have Japanese communication skills
-must be legally able to work in Japan

Preferably, all candidates should:
-have experience with classroom management and creative lesson planning
-have at least two years of teaching experience in a Japanese elementary school or kindergarten
-have a home country teaching license and / or a TEFL qualification
-have experience with educational technology such as LoiloNote and Google Classroom.

Position Details:
Nagisa Koen Elementary School is a private elementary school in Hiroshima. English is an integral part of the school's progressive curriculum. As English teachers, we encourage Nagisa Koen students to develop an interest in the wider world while building their literacy skills and increasing their confidence in using English. All grades have four hours of English a week. Each teacher is responsible for teaching a designated grade as a lead teacher. The teacher also acts as a support teacher for an additional grade.
In addition to academic duties, teachers also help oversee student committees, club activities, and school cleaning areas. Teachers will help prepare for events, attend meetings, and have daily crossing guard duty.

Stage 1:

Stage 2:
Successful candidates who pass Stage 1 will be invited to participate in an online interview within one week of receiving your application materials.

Stage 3:
Candidates who pass the online interview will be invited to the school for a sample lesson in January.
Candidates will know the results of their in-person interviews by February 1st.
