Describe position/duties: 
1. Teach some junior high school science classes
2. Teach grade 10 - 12 biology classes
3. Plan, prepare, and present lessons following the IBDP biology curriculum and MEXT curriculum.
4. Prepare, evaluate and record students' work. 
5. Undertake homeroom teaching duties 
6. Participate in, and prepare for, after-school clubs and activities, staff meetings, and school programs and events as required. 
7. Participate in professional development courses as required

Teaching location
The school is located approximately 1.3 km from Daimon Station, which is 2 stations from Fukuyama shinkansen station in Hiroshima prefecture.

Position begins: August 2022
Teaching/class hours/week: Up to 20 lessons per week. 

Hours and days: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm plus a few Saturdays or Sundays within the school year may be required for different events, event preparation, club activities, or training.

Salary: ¥3,500,0000 – ¥4,000,000 per year, depending on the applicant’s experience and qualifications. (All bonus and housing allowance payments are included in the monthly salary indicated above).

Qualification
1. A relevant bachelor’s degree 
2. Teaching qualification/license from home country
3. Relevant teaching experience within subject area(s), preferably in an IB school
4. Dependable in all areas of the role 
5. Flexible and can adapt to new environments and culture
6. Committed to teaching and improving students' academic level.
7. Be highly proficient in English and have the knowledge and capacity to teach it as a second language up to an advanced writing level
8. A qualification in teaching ESL or English to high school students is preferable

There are free female and male dormitories available on the campus site. Teachers who chose to live in the dormitory are required to undertake some minor supervision duties for a small number of dormitory students in the evening.

a) Up to 100,000 yen will be paid to the employee relocating within Japan.
b) Up to 200,000 yen will be paid for travel related expenses to the employee relocating from overseas.

Contract information: 
1-year (probation), renewable contract
Contracts ordinarily rollover and may be renewed up until retirement.
