Part-time (hijokin) instructor, Sophia University, Tokyo (10/31)

The Core Program in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Sophia University invites applications for a non-tenured, part-time (hijokin) instructor to teach an advanced English Composition course starting in April 2021. Note that this is not an EFL position.

 

Job details: 

Course:
The course meets twice a week for 100-minute sessions. Strong preference will be given to applicants who can teach Mondays and Thursdays first period (9:00-10:40).

Qualifications: 
1. Masters’ Degree in Applied Linguistics, Rhetoric & Composition, TESOL, or closely related fields
2. Experience teaching advanced writing courses at the university level 
3. Relevant research interests 
4. Understanding of the FLA and its students 

Contract: Yearly; renewable up to five years. (*Maximum years of employment may vary according to personnel and curriculum planning of Sophia Corporation.)
