College Preparation and Graduate School Preparation course instructor positions on weekday evenings in Tokyo
ESL Instructor (Evening College Prep or Grad Prep Course)
Academic English Program (AEP Extension Program TOEFL iBT course)
Part-time (one-semester based contract)
This position is only available to applicants who are eligible to work in Japan (the position does not include visa sponsorship).

Overview of Position
Teach one of the following courses for the 2019 Summer Semester for the Academic English Program:
Mon/Wed Evenings: College Preparation course (19:30-21:00, 3 hrs/wk)
This course helps students gain university-level academic English skills to be better prepared for undergraduate studies in the U.S. or in other English-language university programs. Each semester has a different emphasis, Accuracy & Fluency for summer, Content for fall, and Writing for spring, There are 20 class meetings between May 8 and July 17, 2019 (no class on July 15). In addition, individual conferencing of students takes place from 19:00-19:30 before the class begins.
Tues/Thurs Evenings: Graduate Preparation course (19:30-21:00, 3 hrs/wk)
This course helps to prepare students for graduate studies in the U.S. or in other English-language graduate programs, including improving critical thinking skills, researching for and writing academic papers, and improving discussion and presentation skills. There are 20 class meetings between May 7 and July 11, 2019. In addition, individual conferencing of students takes place from 19:00-19:30 before the class begins.

- Prepare for and teach classes
- Give feedback on student work
- Attend instructor meetings
- Qualifications & Experiences
- Native-level speaker of English
- Master's degree or higher in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or relevant field is required.
- More than two-years teaching experience in ESL/EFL is preferred
- Prefer instructors who can continue to teach this course throughout the year
