Miyazaki International College is a four-year liberal arts college accredited by the Ministry of Education (Monbukagakusho). MIC, the first liberal arts college in Japan to use English as the medium of instruction, is international in scope, grounded in the social sciences and humanities, and emphasizes the study of world-wide human problems and issues in a spirit of collaboration, inquiry, and multicultural understanding. The fundamental purpose of MIC is to develop international citizens conversant in Japanese and foreign cultures and fluent in English.

Position Available:
Miyazaki International College is currently seeking one part-time instructor in ESL. Candidates must be able to teach classes such as Oral Communication, Academic Writing and Reading and be willing to work in a team teaching environment with specialists of diverse fields in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences.
Assignment to begin September 15, 2017 through mid-February. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have both a completed MA or higher degree, an adequate number of professional publications and a proven track record of high-quality instruction at the university level. Teaching experience and/or research and publications in elementary, junior high school and high school education in Japan (including the content and implementation of the Course of Study) will be a plus.
