Job details: 

Tokyo Air Travel Hotel College is seeking both full-time and part-time English teaching staff. Our students are mostly interested in entering the airline, hospitality, and tourism industries, wherein English skills are highly valued. There is also an English course for students looking to pursue other careers using English or eventually study at a foreign university. Approximately 25% of students study or work abroad between their first and second years and English students have won honors two years in a row in national speaking competitions. The campus is located in Koganei City, accessible by bus from either JR Musashi-Koganei or Keio Fuchu Stations.

Full-time
Contract: One-year renewable beginning April 1.
Salary: Starting at 3,600,000 yen/year depending on experience and qualifications.
Working hours: 40 hr./week, M-F 9:00-5:30, 15-20 teaching hours when classes are in session, paid holidays/vacation and transportation allowance.
Requirements: Valid visa, experience teaching high school or college/university classes in Japan, university degree. Native-level proficiency with significant education in an English-speaking country. Preference given for teaching qualifications, post-graduate degree in linguistics, education or related field, ability to use Japanese in an office setting, and computer skills including use of Powerpoint.
Duties: Teaching general conversation as well as business English, business and academic writing, TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS, and presentations. Also assisting students with job applications, interview practice, and application to foreign universities.

Part-time
Contract: One-year renewable contract, classes beginning April 17.
Working hours and pay: 5-15 teaching hours per week, 4000 yen/hr. Preparation time offered for writing and presentation classes at 2000 yen/hr. Teachers especially needed on Mondays.
Requirements: Valid visa, experience teaching high school or college/university classes in Japan, university degree. Native-level proficiency with significant education in an English-speaking country. Preference given for teaching qualifications, conversational Japanese ability.
Courses: General conversation as well as business English, business and academic writing, TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS, and presentations.
