Meiko Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, located in Omuta, Fukuoka, is looking for a full-time native English-level teacher starting in April 2020. One year contract with possibility of renewal and/or tenure.

Available position: Full-time native-level English teacher
Job description: Teach junior and senior high school classes for 16-20 hours per week, Monday-Saturday (the 2nd and 5th Saturdays of every month are holidays). The teacher will be responsible for curriculum design, selection of teaching materials, test making and grading, and will teach all classes solo. Educational technology, including tablet computers and projectors, will always be available for use, and the teacher will be strongly encouraged to regularly use these in class. Other duties include assisting with school events and helping students prepare for speech contests.
Contract: From April 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2021. Possibility of contract renewal or tenure after probationary period.
The applicant should:
Have experience teaching at Japanese junior or senior high schools
Currently reside in Japan
Have at least conversational proficiency in Japanese
Be proficient with technology such as iPads and MS Office
Preferably have an MA in TESOL or related field
