Academic English Program (Day Program and Saturday Program)
Part-time (one-semester based contract)
These positions are only available to applicants who are eligible to work in Japan (the position does not include visa sponsorship).

In accordance with the pay scale determined and used in the program.
Overview of Position
Teach one or more of the following courses for the 2020 Spring Semester for the Academic English Program.
1. Day Program TOEFL ITP (paper-based) courses:
Available class times:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:20-12:30, 13:00-15:10 and/or 15:40-17:50.
January 10 to March 27
Notes: Each class meets three times per week for a total of six hours, so instructors must be available on all three days during the week (MWF), not just on one or two days. These courses are for high school graduates or adults who want to achieve the required TOEFL score to enter the TUJ Undergraduate Program. Classes are held entirely in English.
2. Saturday Program TOEFL iBT (internet) course:
Available class times:
January 11 to March 7
Notes: This class meets nine times for three hours each Saturday. Students take an actual test on March 14, which the instructor does not attend. This course is for high school students and above who want to achieve the required TOEFL score to enter TUJ or overseas programs. Classes are held entirely in English.

Qualifications & Experience
Native-level speaker of English
Master's degree or higher in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or relevant field is required
Two or more years of teaching experience in ESL/EFL at the university level and/or in an overseas intensive English language program. Experience teaching TOEFL and test preparation courses highly preferred
Prefer instructors who can continue in this position throughout the year
