Adjunct Professor of Western Religion (12/1)

Position to teach at least one 3-credit course, either Religious Diversity in America and/or Western Religious Traditions, over one semester in Shinjuku, Tokyo. 

 

Job details: 

Position involves teaching one 3-credit course over one semester; scheduling open. Position is at our Tokyo campus in Shinjuku. Course is Religious Diversity in America and/or Western Religious Traditions. Other courses offered may vary based upon the qualifications of the instructor. The course runs from January 14, 2020 to April 13, 2020. The applicant must have a Master's degree in a relevant field at minimum; Ph.D. is preferred. College-level (academic) instruction is also required. Position involves teaching individual 3-credit courses over one semester, roughly 3 hours class time per course per week; scheduling open. Remuneration ¥320,000 per section per semester. Contracts are by semester and renewable. Transportation allowance for public transportation is provided. Other duties include office hours; otherwise, instructors may voluntarily participate in duties usually required for full-time positions, e.g., meetings, events, professional development, assessment, etc.
