Visa Requirement
This position is only available to applicants who are eligible to work in Japan (the position does not include visa sponsorship).

Period
Fall semester 2019 (September 2, 2019 to December 11, 2019) with the possibility to continue in the following semester(s).

Work Hours
Classes offered at TUJ meet three times a week on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule, or twice a week on a Tuesday and Thursday schedule. Applicants who can teach on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 08:30-09:50, or on Tuesday and Thursday from 08:10-11:10 are preferred, but we will also consider applicants who can teach in the evenings.

Salary & Benefits
In accordance with the pay scale determined and used in the program.

Overview of Position
The position involves teaching either Introduction to Academic Writing and/or Analytical Reading and Writing courses to freshman undergraduate students from different cultural backgrounds. We have ESL and native-English speakers’ sections.

Teaching Fields:
Freshman Composition, TESOL, Creative Writing, ESL Academic Writing.

Qualifications & Experiences
The candidates must be fluent in English, hold at least a master’s degree in TESOL, English rhetoric, composition, linguistics or other related subjects. Candidates should also have at least three years of experience teaching writing/composition in an American university.
