Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies, Lakeland University Japan, Tokyo (10/15)

Instructor needed in Fall 2019 (Sept. - Dec.) for teaching academic-level courses in Religious Diversity in America or Eastern Religious Traditions, in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Position is for one 3-credit course over one semester; courses usually Tue. & Thu. or Wed. & Fri., time flexible.

 

Job details: 

Part-time (adjunct professor) position open at Lakeland University Japan (LUJ), an American university in Tokyo, for Fall 2019 (early September to early December). Course would be either Religious Diversity in America or Eastern Religious Traditions. 36 contact hours (two 90-minute classes plus one office hour per week) plus final exam. Faculty meetings and other duties optional. Classes can start from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Applicant must have a Master's degree in a relevant field at minimum; Ph.D. is preferred. College-level (academic) instruction is also required. Salary ¥320,000 per course per semester, plus transportation costs reimbursed. **Must have a valid visa and must live in the Kanto area. Contracts are by semester and renewable.
