beo is an education agency operating two colleges in Osaka and Tokyo. As an agency, beo supports students' international educational endeavors, including short/long-term study abroad, undergraduate education, postgraduate education, etc., primarily in the U.K., U.S., and Australia. Physically attached to the agencies, the colleges are housed in stand-alone commercial premises in the centre of each city. Our facilities are state-of-the-art with abundant resources and very comfortable working space (wifi, laptops, central heating/ac, city-center located, etc.). beo offers the NCUK PMP and other English courses (test prep, conversation classes, proofreading, etc.) to adult learners who are highly motivated and have clear goals associated with their investment in our agency, college, and staff.

Salary and benefits
Competitive dependant on experience and qualifications (Full-time: ￥310,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications / Part-time: pro-rated).

Assistance will be provided with finding living accommodation (agent contacts,suggested locations, etc.).
The majority of our students are university students or older, occasional high school students. All teaching takes place on beo premises.
Working hours are five days a week, nine hours a day, including hour lunch. Teachers are required to work Saturdays and Sundays and three weekdays (ex:9:00 to 18:00, 10:00-19:00, or13:00-22:00). The two days-off a week will be the same each week, and are highly likely to be consecutive days (ex: Tuesday and Wednesday off each week).
1. The following are mandatory in order to qualify to teach EAP
i. Master’s degree in any subject (Education, Linguistics, TESOL, highly preferred)
ii. English language teaching qualification, e.g. CELTA
iii. Two year’s full-time equivalent English teaching experience
iv. The ability to contribute to integrated teaching across curriculum
v. An understanding of UK/western higher education and the needs and requirements of international students
vi. Direct experience of further and higher education in an international context
i. Master’s in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, etc. (or be in the process of writing a dissertation)
ii. DELTA or equivalent
iii. Experience of EAP, Pre-sessional courses, etc.
iv. Experience of teaching test preparation, e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, etc.
v. Experience of IELTS examining
vi. Experience of the development of academic programmes
vii. Experience of academic assessment and standards, and of quality assurance procedures
viii. An understanding and appreciation of private sector education
ix. Experience of living and working in Japan
x. Experience of living and working in East Asia
2. Skills (Essential)

i. Master’s degree with a dissertation in any subject
i. Master’s degree included a research methods course
ii. Experience of teaching RM at undergraduate or postgraduate level
iii. Experience of supervising undergraduate, or higher, dissertations
5. Qualifications to teach the PMP Subject module
i. Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an appropriate subject, e.g. Business, Management, International Relations, Politics, Intercultural studies, etc.
ii. Willingness to teach the subject module
i. Master’s degree in a relevant subject
ii. Experience of lecturing at university, pre-Master’s or Foundation Year level
