Employment status: All part-time positions are 1 year contracts with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants who do not meet the following minimum qualifications cannot be considered for employment by the university.

(1) Completion of an undergraduate or a graduate degree in science and engineering with a background in EFL/ESL education; OR, completion of a Master's degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics with experiences in teaching students of science and engineering in Japan preferred or in other fields of ESP in Japan;
(2) Publication of at least two refereed or peer-reviewed academic papers;
(3) At least 2 years of university teaching experience in teaching academic or scientific/technical English preferably in Japan;
(4) Native-like proficiency in English and ability to teach through English;
(5) Willingness to work cooperatively in a coordinated English program for the improvement of the courses and attend course meetings and faculty development seminars;
(6) Familiarity with Japanese tertiary administrative system desirable. 

WORKING HOURS / COMPENSATION
Number of working hours: Thursday, 2 positions open for 1st period (9:00-10:30), 2nd period (10:40-12:10), 3rd period (13:00-14:30) and 4th period (14:40-16:10); Saturday, 1 position open for 3rd period (13:00-14:30)
Priority will be given to applicants who can teach the same periods both semesters
One class is counted as 2 hours of work, for a total of 15-16 classes per semester

Pay: In accordance with the personnel system of UEC Tokyo (Around 5,200 yen per hour)
Length of contract: April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020. All part-time positions are 1 year contracts with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
